TNPSC Special Asst Recruitment Notification 2010
Applications are invited for direct recruitment to the vacancies in the following post for the year 2008-2009.
Special Assistant in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
No of Posts : 04
Scale of Pay: Rs.9,300-34,800/- Grade Pay + Rs. 4,400 /- (PB2)
Age (as on 01.07.2010) : 18 – 30 years.
Qualification : Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of this
Notification, viz.08.11.2010:
1) A degree of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants and
2) A pass in the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting both in English and Tamil by the Higher Grade.
Note:
(i) The degree qualification should have been acquired in the order of studies viz.10th Standard, Higher Secondary Course.
(ii) Persons claiming equivalence of qualification should enclose evidence for such claim failing which their application will be summarily rejected. For further details refer para-9 of the Instruction etc., to candidates.
Scheme of Written Examination (Objective Type) and Oral Test :
1. Single paper in General Knowledge ( Degree Standard) (100 items)

General Tamil / General English (S.S.L.C. Standard) ( 100 items)
2. Interview and Record.
Date of Written examination : 20-02-2011 10.00A.M. to 1.00 P.M
Examination Fee : Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
Examination fee should be paid only through any one of the Post offices listed in Annexure – III to the Information Brochure and the Postal receipt obtained for the payment of fee should be pasted in the space provided in the application. (For further details refer para. 2 under part –III of Information Brochure and for Examination fee concessions, refer para 12 of the ‘Instructions etc. to candidates’). All candidates (unless exemption fee is claimed) should pay Rs.12/-(Rupees Twelve only) towards service charge to the Post Office while obtaining the Postal receipt.

Filled in OMR applications must be sent to the Controller of Examinations, Office of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, No.1. Greams Road, Chennai – 600 006 well in advance so as to reach the Commission’s Office before 5.45 p.m. on 07-12-2010. Candidates can also avail of the facility of applying Online on the Commission’s Website at www.tnpsc.gov.in
